Daniel left red-faced following witty one liners from Majella

first_imgDaniel O’Donnell was left red-faced after his wife Majella came out with several witty one liners prodding fun at his annoying habits and what he’s like when he’s ‘rattled’ when the couple appeared on a lighthearted interview on Loose Women earlier this week. His face says it all!Majella spoke of how she has been cleared of cancer, and was commended for her strength throughout her journey with the illness. She spoke about how she ‘didn’t want him there’ during her chemotherapy as he would get on her nerves as she doesn’t ‘like people fussing’. Daniel then jokingly pretended to leave by saying ‘I’m getting on her nerves’. When asked is he ever annoying, Majella responds with ‘everyone’s annoying!’, and that he has so many bad habits that she ‘doesn’t know where to start’! She adds that ‘if you don’t get him rattled he doesn’t get excited either!’, much to the amusement of the panel, to which Daniel responded that this would be the ‘first and last time she’ll be on this show’.Majella also openly admitted to only liking ‘some of him music’, to which Daniel says ‘sometimes it’s so nice to tell a lie’.If Majella and Daniel had their own talk show – we’d definitely tune in!  Daniel left red-faced following witty one liners from Majella was last modified: October 2nd, 2016 by Elaine McCalligShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:daniel o donnellFunnyloose womenMajella O’ Donnelltalk showlast_img read more

first_imgScott Parker has announced his retirement from professional football. The former England international’s contract with Championship club Fulham has expired and he has decided to call it quits at the age of 36.It brings to an end a 20-year playing career, which began with Charlton Athletic and took in spells at Chelsea, Newcastle, Tottenham and West Ham.A consistent Premier League performer, Parker was named the Footballer Writers’ Player of the Year in 2011 during his four-season spell with the Hammers. He won 18 caps for England and was part of the squad which competed at the 2012 European Championship.“The decision to retire has not been an easy one for me but having thought long and hard over it, and having discussed it with those closest to me, I believe that now is the right time to move on to the next chapter in my life and career,” Parker said.“When I started my career at Charlton Athletic all those years ago I could only have dreamt at that time just what was to follow over the next two decades.“I feel incredibly honoured and proud to have enjoyed the career that I have and I’ve loved every moment of it.”Parker made 31 appearances for Fulham last season, with his last professional outing coming as a second-half substitute in their 2-1 victory at Sheffield Wednesday on the final day of the Championship season. He was an unused substitute in both legs of Fulham’s play-off defeat against Reading. His his professional career began as a teenager for Charlton in 1997. He made nearly 150 appearances for the Addicks before Claudio Ranieri took him to Chelsea for £10million in January 2004, shortly after Roman Abramovich had taken over the Stamford Bridge outfit. The midfielder, however, found opportunities at the Blues hard to come by and was sold to Newcastle the following year. Parker captained the Magpies after Alan Shearer retired -but following 55 Premier League appearances on Tyneside he headed back to London to sign for West Ham.Parker became an integral player for the Hammers, making more than 100 league starts, before he handed in a transfer request following their relegation to the Championship.Tottenham would be Parker’s next stop. He enjoyed two seasons at White Hart Lane but signed a three-year deal at Fulham in 2013 which expired this summer. He played every match of England’s Euro 2012 campaign under Roy Hodgson and featured for the Three Lions at all age levels. Derry City confirm Maginn Park move for ‘initial games’ in 2017

first_imgDERRY CITY have confirmed that they will start 2017 by playing their home games at Maginn Park in Buncrana. With Brandywell Stadium closed while development works are being carried out, Derry have been on the look-out for an alternative home.In a statement released this evening, Derry City have announced that what they call ‘the initial home games’ of next season will be staged at Maginn Park, the home ground of the Inishowen Football League. The Lone Moor Road outfit are considering what is says are ‘other options’ for late in the campaign but, for now, Maginn Park will host the Candystripes.Derry City are set to lay on transport to and from Buncrana for supporters.Derry are to install seats in the stand at Maginn Park, which would then stay permanently at the venue.Other works that had been earmarked as essential last year – during exploratory talks between the relevant parties – included extra lighting in the main stand, the erection of emergency lighting at exits, toilets and in the stand, the provision of portable toilets and the segregation of away supporters. It is likely that Maginn’s capacity would have to be capped, something that Derry have acknowledged. The Derry City statement reads: “Derry City have let it be known that the initial home games of next season will be played in Maginn Park, Buncrana.“They are continuing to explore other options for later in the season but, failing any positive outcomes to those explorations, Maginn Park will facilitate the rest of the games.“The only difficulty presented by the Buncrana venue is one of capacity. For the greater number of matches, the club believes that the capacity will meet the demand but they realise that in some matches, capacity will be limited.“The club are said to be very pleased and grateful to the management of Maginn for the welcome and the flexibility they have shown to Derry City. “The club is also exploring ways of providing public transport to and from Buncrana for supporters who don’t drive or who prefer to go to matches with groups of friends.“The club have also made it known that season tickets will go on sale next week.”Derry City confirm Maginn Park move for ‘initial games’ in 2017 was last modified: December 8th, 2016 by Chris McNultyShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Tags:buncranaderry cityMaginn Parklast_img read more
