first_imgLetterkenny General Hospital – open on TuesdayLetterkenny Hospital will be open for business as usual on Tuesday, the HSE says.Emergency Department and other services such as maternity, renal dialysis, oncology day care, day surgery and endoscopy will continue as normal despite a junior doctors strike. “Some of the outpatient services will be affected,” said the HSE in a statement. “However, patients are being advised to turn up to their appointments unless they received a phone call from the hospital advising them that their appointment has been postponed. If patients have concerns that they may have missed a call from the hospital, they may contact the hospital helpline on 074 91 04429.”Sean Murphy, General Manager told Donegal Daily: “Our advice to patients is very simple. If you have an appointment, turn up. If it was necessary to postpone your appointment, you will have received a phone call from us. If you are concerned that you may have missed a call from us, you can contact our helpline number on 074 9104429.“We are trying to minimise the disruption to our patients tomorrow but we accept that there will be delays and we apologise for any inconvenience in advance.
