I am sure all the sport fans will thourghly enjoy the concession stand and it was great for all the men to donate their time and effort. Thanks to all. My parents helped moved the building from the parking behind the old junior high to the Rock Island field in the1960’s. Tweet this comment Cancel Submit Comment Subscribe to None Replies All new comments Special to Sumner Newscow — Triumph Accessory Services completed their third annual community service project in November.    A group of Triumph employees selected the remodeling of the Rock Island Concession Building as this year’s project.With guidance from Cody White, Superintendent of the Wellington Recreation Commission, 38 Triumph employees signed up for various assignments.  There were employees who spent their day on demolition of the interior in order to prepare for the renovation.  They removed the paneling, flooring, cabinets and the large center island.The next team arrived to start the framing of the new windows and door.  The sheetrock team spent two dusty days putting up sheetrock, while finding creative ways to speed up the drying process during those chilly days.Triumph employees work on the inside of the concession stand.By Thursday, the painting team found the one “good weather” day of the week to complete the exterior painting, while others were working on the interior painting.  Friday’s team completed the interior by installing new cabinets and flooring.  The final product is an updated concession building, with a new design, featuring walk up windows for serving the customers instead of customers entering the building.New windows are installed on the Rock Island building.Many of the Triumph employees have fond memories of playing ball at Rock Island, some are still playing in tournaments or watching football practice.  This project allowed employees to apply their various skills to complete the much needed renovation and take pride in their contribution for the improvement of our community.The concession stand gets a new coat of paint.last_img
